But did you know that there are over 12,600,000 search results just for the search term “custom twitter backgrounds”?

There are literally thousands of website that can show you how to create your own custom twitter background or you can even download free twitter backgrounds.

If you want a Twitter Background that truly captures the essence of your business, you can expect to pay anywhere from $39.95 to $129.97, now if you ask me that’s a lot of Moo-la! But if you want to attract more quality customers, those that want to buy what you have to offer, then you will have to make a small investment to make this happen.

Below are a few of the website I’d like you to check out (if you haven’t already) that offer a fantastic array of Free and Custom Twitter Backgrounds.

1) Colour Lovers is an excellent place to start if you want to make your own tiling background patterns. They also offer palettes that will help you pick colors that go well together so your Twitter page doesn’t look like you picked the colors with your eyes closed or let your 3-year old do it for you.

2) Twitter Patterns is another great place to find patterns for your tiled background.

3) On The Social Identities web site there are royalty-free backgrounds which you are welcome to use or that might give you some ideas. All of the photographs they use to make these backgrounds are either royalty-free or published under the Creative Commons http://creativecommons.org/ license and used with permission.

And last but not least we can custom design your Twitter experience for you too, simply contact Al or Skeeter and they will point you in the right direction.

Until next time, have a wonderful day

Twitter Background First Impressions

Twitter Background First Impressions

We all know that first impressions (when it comes to your website) are very crucial, and you only have approximately 7 to 10 seconds to catch a persons attention, before they click away from your site and move on to the next.

Your Twitter background is no exception to the rule, especially if you are promoting your products or services to your followers.

Being a graphic designer I tested a few backgrounds using Photoshop CS4 but found that I could do the bulk of the work using Microsoft Powerpoint, and they could be put together very quickly, and then I could touch them up in Photoshop if I needed to get a higher resolution.

Almost every PC user has Microsoft Office installed on their computers. In that bundle of software is a program call Microsoft Powerpoint. With just a little trial and error you can produce a nice background for your Twitter Account.

Now if you’re a Mac user and you have OpenOffice Installed you can use Presenter to accomplish the same task. The good thing about Presenter is you are able to import a Twitter Background template onto the stage and start your masterpiece.

To help you get started working on your own Twitter background I’ve included a twitter template that you can use, download here. (Simply “Right Click” and chose file “Save As” and save the file to your desktop) When you are already to use the template simply double click on the file name and it will automatically open the file in Powerpoint.

I have found a series of tutorials by a fellow designer named Peggy Duncan, that will show you how to get started creating your very own Twitter background.

Make sure you watch the other 2 parts of her tutorial. Then Let us know what you think.

Until next time, have a wonderful day.
