Microsoft Excel gone Twitter!
Hmm, Microsoft Excel gone Twitter
I just stumbled upon a really ingenious little website called Twixcel.com that was developed by
Alec Berg.
According to Alec Berg,
Twixcel is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that automates your twitter experience, by using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and VBA (Visual Basic Programming)
You can download this little program Twixcel.com while it’s still in beta and tinker around with it at your leisure.
This program doesn’t have a lot of features, but from what Alec has mentioned on his website he plans on quite a few revisions in the coming months that will make it more user friendly as well as increasing its flexibility.
So, for those of you who don’t want to spend all your time online, this downloadable program will sure be the cat’s meow. Don’t forget to watch the videos that he has on the website. They are quite informative.
Oh, one more thing, if you’re not familiar with Excel or any other spreadsheet program for that matter I would venture to say, this is not for you. But those who are of the “Geek Elite” this may be right up your alley.

How To Handle Twitter Drama
How To Handle Twitter Drama
Millions of people use Twitter. In fact, from anyone who has noticed, 2009 has been the year that Twitter literally exploded and finally became more mainstream. Many businesses and celebrities use the service in many ways.
Some celebrities share information of articles about them or where they are going to be if they are in the mood to welcome the public, or for pure publicity. Not long ago Trent Reznor of the band Nine Inch Nails decided that Twitter was no longer for him (by the way, the link to his old Twitter account is to a Twitter ‘Page not found.’ He had quite the followership and was quite active in his tweet stream. He got down with the masses of fans and haters alike to tweet. It was the haters who ended up the winner.
However, he has not been the only one to feel the glares and flamage. Businesses, celebrities, and even normal people on a daily basis on Twitter are getting the same treatment. It all boils down to how you handle the situation. If you have gotten into a situation where people are harassing you on Twitter, or any other social network.
1. Report to the service (Twitter or whatever other social network you use) if the accusations are threatening or defamation of character.
2. Just ignore it. Flamers get tired when you do not fuel the fire.
3. Block users you feel you do not want to hear from if they are persistent.
Not everyone will ever agree with what you say, so you may catch a few kerfluffles, but it is best to be laid back about the situation.

Why you lose followers on Twitter
-by Skeeter Hansen and Al Ferretti
Do you wonder why you are losing followers on Twitter?
You might be making mistakes and not even know it.
Here are some of the reasons why your followers on Twitter would leave you:
Automatic Direct Messages: These things are very annoying, and there is nothing personal about them. For example, “Thanks for following me! Be sure to check out my website!” is considered a spam. What’s worse is when people resend the same message a few days later to tell you the same thing, like one is not enough.
Blasting Tweets: Are you one of those people who send out ten or more posts at once that cover up the entire wall? You need to give others a chance to speak up. When you spam like that, all people see is a wall of your smiley face picture. If you ever wonder why you lose a bunch of followers on Twitter all at once, this could be the biggest reason.
Over Promoting: Do you only post about your website? People will think you are a robot if all you do is talk about your website and tell people to check it out. Try to connect with others by interacting on Twitter. If somebody posts something interesting, then you can talk about it, and share it with your followers.
Proper Follow Up: When people ask you questions through a “@reply” or direct messages, make sure you respond to them. You may have post something interesting that caught their attention. Connect with these people and they may recommend you to their followers later.
Keep It Clean: Many people use twitter at work. Profanity is not something they can afford to have flashing on their computer. Most people will immediately unfollow these types of users.
Just remember, tweet others the way you want to be tweeted.
