Using the right photo or avatar on Twitter can make all the difference to getting followers. When I am looking for new people to connect with and build relationships with one of the first things I do is look at the photo. If it’s a bad photo for example, the head is cut off, the person is 100 feet away and I can’t see their face etc. I simply move to the next person. People want to connect with a face so they know who they are talking to.

The twitter blaster plugin lets your visitors update your Twitter stream.

Twitter Feed

How time flys by when we’re having Fun. It was just about one year ago, Evan Williams CEO of Twitter reported there was approx. 2,000 third party tools and apps that integrated with Twitter. That seemed really impressive then.

Well guess what? Now there are reports of over 50,000 tools and apps. Can you say WoWza?!?!!

The power of Direct Messages when used correctly. Are you using Direct Messages or (DM’s) the right way?

I do a targeted search every night and when I wake up in the morning the only thing left to do is connect and start building relationships with like minded people from my direct messages. Sure I get some spam but the list auto DM’s I get are targeted people waiting for me to send them a reply. This is huge and so many people don’t take advantage of this simple technique.

What happens if you send an @reply to multiple people? Who sees the message and who doesn’t?

I check my @replies more often then any other message on Twitter. At the bottom of your tweets you can also see what tools people are using when sending you tweets. For Example: 32 minutes ago via HootSuite or about 1 hours ago via Twitterrific. This is also a great way to keep an eye out for new tools or apps people are using.
