Hi Nichole,
You make a good point about changing your password, it's just sad there are people out there that would rather rip you off versus doing good. If someone does hack into your Twitter account notify Twitter right away.

Thanks for the comment,
Skeeter

I would think changing password often would help to prevent your account for being hacked. If the hacker takes control of your tweets there is the potential your account suspended based on there actions, DM's, etc.

Hey Steve, How are you my friend.

Thanks for the comment and leaving the 3rd party tools for people to check out. These are great tools that help with some of the automation.

Thanks for the comment,
Skeeter

Hi Valerie,
You make many great points about generating more followers. I certainly don't use all of these methods I mentioned in this post to build my Twitter followers. These are just methods for generating followers fast, you and I both know the quality won't be very high, but some people don't care about the quality. I have always encouraged people to build a quality following, this takes more time but is well worth it.

I know @unmarketing he's a great guy with lots of great information.

Thanks for the comment Valerie,
SKeeter

Great article, very helpful to twitter newbies.

For auto tweets related to your niche, I found the following very useful:

The best way to get people to follow you back is to pay attention to what they say on their twitter feed and then join in the conversation with @ comments.

If you only use your twitter feeds to broadcast statements, most of the people who actually bother to read their twitter streams will ignore you. Mutually adding one more number to your followers total gets you absolutely zilch if no one is reading your messages.

I recommend you follow @unmarketing and read his blogs for an example of someone who functions well as a business person on Twitter.

The way you are going about it is the Twitter equivalent of handing out leaflets in the mall. Most of them end up binned or folded and ignored.

Following people is not a good way to get followers, directing comments to them in your stream with sensible replies to comments they have made is much more effective.

And to follow people, and then unfollow them is very rude unless they have taken action to hurt you or posted porn.
