Tweetburner
How would you like to track your posts? Then you may want to look at Tweetburner. Tweetburner allows you to post directly to your Twitter account from your web browser. The nice thing about this site is that it will shorten, share, and track your posting to Twitter.
To get started, all you have to do is create a FREE account. Once you are registered you will see a button on the Front Page, called a bookmarklet, that you can drag to your toolbar. Once you have this bookmarklet on you toolbar, you will be able to post a customized message and then link any site that you wish to share. Tweetburner calls this post “Twurl this.”
On your Front Page you have the following options:
- Recently shared Links
- Most popular Twurls in the last hour
- Top 10 URLs with most clicks in the last hour
Across the top primary links you will see menus items for:
- Your stats
- Archive
- Settings
- Sign out
For those who post to FriendFeed, there is also support. You can post to either Twitter or FriendFeed or to both at the same time.
I hope that you find this site useful.

4 Common Twitter Mistakes
-by Skeeter Hansen
I have made some of these mistakes on Twitter and see others making these mistakes as well. You don’t have to be perfect but you should make the most of your time on Twitter.
Here are 4 Common Twitter Mistakes to Avoid
1. Not Setting up your Twitter page properly:
Make sure you have a decent photo that people can connect with. This is one of the first things I look for before engaging with a new person. Like you, my time is valuable and I scan photo’s because it’s easy and fast, if someone doesn’t have a decent photo I move on to the next one.
Use your name instead of your @twitter username in the name section. I like to use a persons name when sending out tweets. Having a name is a great way for people to connect with you on a first name bases.
When filing out your bio use quality words, these words are searchable through many of the 3rd party tools that integrate with Twitter. Focus more on key words then sentence structure will give others a greater chance of finding you.
Twitterology: Using Lists to Organize Followers
- by Ann Evanston
Twitter creates lists! “oh no, another way for peeps to get caught up in egos and numbers again!” THAT was my initial thought. But as the Twitterologist, as a smart business strategist, I knew there would be smart use for those lists!
Lists can become a great way to organize your followers and your online business strategy! Think about what you need to pay attention to in order to create smart lists. for example:
1-Do you have business partners following you?
2-Are your clients on twitter?
3-Are you followed by industry leaders (your industry)?
4-Are there peeps that regularly retweet you or share your info with others?
These are a few ways to use those lists so at a glance you can give them the attention they deserve! The list creates a special feed with just their tweets in it! Smart twitterology!

Participate in surveys or feedback when possible of people you want to connect with.
Stay in touch with your followership and give them something of value in exchange for their time, attention and business. Example: Give out free bonuses, discount coupons, etc. for your followers.
Come out and ask your followers if there is anything you can do for them. Example Hi Joe, thanks for the tweet, what can I do to help you today?
Show your customers you value them by providing them with a prompt solution to their problem(s), this also lets you know what people want and need.
Providing value to your followers will help your credibility and build trust at the same time. The more value you give to people first, the more value people will give back to you. That’s the secret.
