Hi Krissy~

The article is referring to the Twitter "suggested users list" to follow. One place users see this is when they first join twitter.
Currently, twitter lists recommended users to follow like celebrities, politicians, etc that is what is going away and will be refined according to co founder Biz Stone.
It is not the same as the new "lists" feature.

Hope that clarifies..

Terry,

Isn't that just about what we already have/do, with the lists we make already? Don't you make your own lists of Twitter users? It is a feature Twitter added a few weeks ago... You can group your followers into different lists of particular niches and/or interests, as well as choose to follow other Twitter user's lists... :)

Hi guys,
I think the list should remain. But revised for personal use whereas you are able to add the people of your own choosing. This way you could target a specific group or market. And better engage the the community of your interest.

Everyone is a VIP. If more businesses started operating this way, much more money would be made all around, in general.

Hi Lois,
Thanks for the comment. I think you should have been on the list. I think part of the reason they did it was to give everyone some people to start with. I know people that would pay good money to be on the list. It's no wonder these people on the auto follow list if you will, their follower count climbed so fast. I wonder how many people on the auto follow list actually engage with their followers.

Thanks,
Skeeter

I agree with Rick London. There is no reason for an "official" suggested users list from Twitter. There are many ways for a new Twitter user to find other Twitter users who will "match their interests," and would also end a lot of the favoritism which has been pushed by Twitter. One of the ways new users could find other Twitter users would be through the Twitter search engine (by entering) certain keywords (niche keywords, interests of theirs, hobbies, etc.) and then checking out the profile page and bios of different Twitter users that appear. This would allow for a more well rounded and larger choice of people (Twitter users) to choose from than just choosing the Twitter selected suggestions. Another suggestion for new Twitter users to use would be Twitter directories. There are many fine ones. Twellow is one. Perhaps it would be a nice idea, Al, if you would write a post on ways to find followers that are of one's niche, interests, hobbies, etc. There are many ways to do this. I am of course not talking about the spamming services that one might try to use to get as many followers as possible! I'm talking about getting like minded followers in which you will have important and long lasting exchanges with, as you are aware, bc you have much in common with.

God bless you,

Hi Rick,
Those are some good words of wisdom we can all learn from. The playing field on Twitter is equal, finally a social site that rewards you in proportion to the quality of content you provide and how well you engage with others.

Thanks for the comment,
Skeeter
