I signed up with Sponsored Tweets and I love it. I've only had two sponsored tweets so far, but what I really appreciated about it was that the two opportunities were so on target with my voice and the topics for which I'm known. And the word "sponsored" appears in the tweet, so it's totally transparent. I also signed up with twivert, and after seeing the ads they wanted to tweet on my stream, which had nothing to do with my topics of interest and a few were even salacious in nature, I immediately deactivated my account. I'm sure they are a reputable company, but the ads they matched up with my profile were simply not a match.

I use Magpie which in the first month saw a progressive increase in earnings. Last couple of months there seems to be no activity. As you say, if this is fixed, then maybe I'll start seeing better results.

I also use twivert.com. Seeing steady increase in earnings but you only get a fraction of a dollar per converted view. So could take sometime to see a good return in my bank account.

Manually, I also use Amazon to tweet topic related goods. Mostly books and DVD's. They now have a twitter button on each item you select to promote. when clicked, it tweets the product with your affiliate link as a bit.ly url. Only just started using it this week. Getting the views but no sales as yet.

All the best,
Steve

We've also seen a new entry into this field, tweetglide recently launched with an affiliate and advertising model. We are not opposed at all to twitter advertising, but we hope to see some transparency in the process. When someone tweets are sponsored, we'd like to know it is all.
