5 Popular Twitter Clients
5 Popular Twitter Clients
Tweeting from Twitter.com is effective for some users, but now that Twitter has been around long enough for even baby boomers’ parents to pick it up, it’s time for you to check out new and enhanced ways to tweet, so let’s take a look at 5 great Twitter clients below:
Tweetdeck currently, the industry favorite is Tweetdeck not only because it syncs with an iPhone, but because it has grouping functions for people and search terms, all colors are customizable, and Tweetdeck is integrated with Facebook, yFrog, and even MySpace. New updates allow users to drag photos into the update bar without any download steps, URLs are automatically shortened, and language translation options are now built in. It is by far the most robust option on the market.
Seesmic supports multiple Twitter accounts on the same screen and has amazing Facebook integration that lets you comment and “like” without having to visit Facebook. Seesmic allows groups of people and searches and offers unlimited saved searches. Seesmic is interesting because like Tweetdeck, it is constantly adding upgrades and improvements.
HootSuite is the professional Twitter client. With HootSuite, you can manage multiple Twitter profiles, pre-schedule tweets, measure your success and much more.
Tweetie for Mac is a clean and simple, no fluff client that shows threaded conversations, lets users flip between multiple accounts, multiple services and allows for saved searches. Tweetie for Mac lets users post videos to yFrog and takes up very few resources on your computer.
Destroy Twitter this is a single account client that allows grouping for people or search words and is a simple, streamlined way to Twitter from your desktop and there are even themes available to download to customize your experience with Destroy Twitter.
What is your favorite Twitter client and why?

I’m a big fan of Tweetdeck. I have a Google phone and use iTweet. It works very well!
I use Tweetie on my iPhone and am tinkering with Brizzly on my laptop. I am a big fan of Tweetdeck but sometimes it’s nice not to have another app open on my screen… Brizzly is browser-based.
I’m a big fan of Tweetdeck. I do use Hootsuite sometimes, but Tweetdeck’s what I always go back to.
Thanks guys for all the great info
I love hootsuite and sit on my hootsuite ‘cockpit’ daily because it is soooooo much fun!! Great posting!
TweetDeck has the advantage of being first, and although I’ve looked over the others you’ve mentioned, I’ve had no reason to switch….
Love Tweetdeck but just started using Hootsuite more for the tracking and stats – love that feature!
I use tweetlater for my automated welcomes, but tweetdeck for twittering because you can open multiple conversations at once. Now you can use twtzine for posting articles to twitter for your follwers and tweets.try it here
TwtZine
I’ll join the ranks of commenters using TweetDeck. The recent streamlined look is nice, too.

Tweetdeck without question for me .I do wish there was an automated way for #FollowFriday now that would rock . Keep up the good work guy’s.

I have been seeing some tweeps say with the new release of the most current version of Tweetdeck, their tweet stream is not as smooth as before. Perhaps look into that? Might be an angle to cover.

Hi Terry,
One of the greatest things people report they like about Twitter is the customization and flexibility.
I say that because I noticed you mentioned tweetlater, tweetdeck and twtzine. Those three make a great combination.
Thanks for sharing Terry.

If there was one thing you could add to tweetdeck, what would it be?

Thanks for the comment bloggernott.
How would you like to automate #FollowFriday?

@alferretti
For the past couple of days, I’ve been using TweetLater now changed to http://www.socialoomph.com/
Great for scheduling Tweets at different times of day/night, 24/7.
Great to know that when your sleeping, you’re still tweeting.
They do go into detail about not using the application as a spam tool which is great.
Have noticed a definite increase in click to Blog info pages and even got a $9 sale from someone in another time zone at 3am (UK) this morning. Would have missed that without Socialoomph’s help.
Regards,
Steve.
It sounds like socialoomph (formerly tweetlater) was working when you were sleeping…
Congrats Steve
Remember your pal Al when you strike it rich my friend
