You Can Now Publish Your Facebook Page Updates to Twitter!
Although it is possible to publish your Twitter posts to your Facebook profile, you can now publish your Facebook Page updates to Twitter. In their article, Publishing to Twitter from Facebook Pages, they go through the details, but it really is not just a great Facebook tool, but also a great Twitter tool. However, I am sure anyone would wonder: why is this important?
A lot of businesses and individuals have separate pages to help with branding. However, sometimes the Facebook pages have content that would not normally be seen anywhere else. It also keeps your visitors focused on what you have to say. Although there are blogs, forums, and other social networks, this is a great tool to try to make sure your followers are up-to-date, even if you may not directly tweet from Twitter itself on a particular day.
The whole point about networking is to share content and hopefully influence people enough to either interact or purchase. It is a basic concept of social media. In Facebook doing this, it encourages people to share their content on other social networks. Obviously, Facebook realizes Twitter’s importance of real time search and content.
In fact, if you already have a Facebook page, you will see at the top a box that starts out with “Link Your Page to Your Twitter Account.” So, if you have followers in Twitter that do not know about your Facebook page, they will now!

Facebook! Facebook! Facebook! I don’t understand what is so special about Facebook more than MySpace? It’s getting kinda disappointing that I can not affiliate my MySpace profile with my Twitter account but Facebook is getting all of the attention.
In my opinion, MySpace has more to offer their users, more than Facebook does. Including apps that are worth using and all the way down to decorating your profile. Facebook is just a one size fits all sort of deal. In basics, ALL profiles look the same – design, color, etc…
My kids convinced me to set up a Facebook account about a year or so ago because I was so much into MySpace and Twitter.
To shut them up, I decided to give it a try. I kept that account for all about two weeks. It was very bland – to say the least. I was just not entertained by the entire program at all. As my close friends began to add me as a friend and the poking, prodding and “gift giving” began, I was over it. I deleted the account and became a full fledged fan of MySpace.
Now, everytime I turn around, all I hear about it Facebook. Celebrities, TV shows, etc… Everyone is gaga over Facebook. I am so curious to why MySpace is not as popular? I personally don’t see anything wrong with MySpace. But yet even Twitter shows a lot more respect to Facebook and hardly a trace of it to MySpace. Why?
I’m sorry if I sound as though I am bitching but I am just curious about all of this? Did I miss something in the headlines about MySpace v/s Facebook? Or MySpace in general?

Hi Paul! I have done the MySpace experience and still have it. Unfortunately, MySpace for me is really annoying and flawed. I have done so many more adware issues with them, and on top of that virus issues because of the services they choose to use in displaying their advertisements.
Despite their version 2 upgrade on profiles, they are bulky and really it is a pain as a lot of the applications fail from time-to-time. I got tired of activating one application on to find just about every time I visited, the thing was down. On top of that, majority of my followers there are not within my target niche.
I come from a background of web site competitions and being deep in the trenches with other hardcore bloggers. I did the visiting like heck to others and when MySpace was on practically most people’s tongues, I tried it, and it left nothing to be desired. I have been having a better time with Facebook than I have with MySpace. I get spammed less at Facebook despite having 100x more the followership. Right now, I am not bothering to develop my MySpace followership because it is ridiculously flawed. There are some flaws I see with Facebook, but really… I prefer something that does not go on my wall or comment board and say ‘Here, come see my boobs’… and that is just being nice about saying that…lol.
Thank you Nile for your reply and information. I didn’t know about the flaws on MySpace. I have been a member of MySpace for more than two years and haven’t had any issues as of yet. But being you speak of it, I will for now on keep my eyes and ears open in the future.
I wonder of what you say about MySpace if it is one of the reasons why Twitter has nothing to do with it?

MySpace has been one of those projects that choose to be the ‘lone ranger.’ In fact, it was not the first type of its social network, it just had the funding to back it. MySpace tries to focus on projects that will get them the most money. Right now, I am pretty sure Twitter does not do that for them or they may be carefully looking into ways to allow the it in a way that gets them money.
As far as I am aware though, there is a code you can put on your MySpace profile to have a Twitter widget, which has been around more than two years.
