  • Nice tip as to how to distinguish people who are following you back.

  • Thanks Skeeter for the helpful video.

One thing I look for when removing non-followers as well are those that have low following counts. They are most likely not going to follow you back. If they provide you with good content then keep following them of course.

    Thanks again,

TwitterKarma will do that for you in few clicks: you can sort by followers , following, sort by last tweet, etc and bulk un-follow. This is very handy.

http://www.twitblock.org/ will also scan your followers and –indicate– which ones are more likely to be spammers or the ones that have “weird” and strange activities.

Those 2 app are making the cleaning a breeze …
    Enjoy

  • Thanks to you Al and Skeeter,

I am learning more and more each day on how to use tweeter for business and for interacting and building relationships in marketing my business.

  • if there is a 2000 following limit then how are there so many ppl following much larger numbers?

  • Skeeter Skeeter:

    Hi Jory,
That is a great question. There is only a 2000 follow limit until you reach 2000 followers and then you may follow more then 2000 people. From this point on there is a following to follower ratio Twitter uses to keep people from mass following. The ratio is about 10%, meaning you can only follow about 10% more people then you have following you. I hope this helps.

    Thanks for the question,
    Skeeter

I am a little confused. On my version of twitter, there is no way to know if someone I am following is following me, other than opening two tabs – one for followers and one for followings – then a tedious job of comparing them. I don’t know if you are using a twitter app or if UK twitter has a different format. I did manage to unfollow all the non responsive peeps by using avery useful app. http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/

    Otherwise, interesting and informative. Thanks
